Codex GPT-6.1 Sol vs Grok Bot: one request, two visions

The same request can lead to radically different results. Two AI agents tackled the same theme, the coming decade under accelerating AI, and came up with two interpretations.

We gave the same request to two AIs, Codex GPT-6.1 Sol and Grok Bot. Here is what each one produced: two different results.

Note: the Grok Bot video (version 9) was not produced from the exact prompt given to Codex.

The shared request (paraphrased)

“Create a video with music that illustrates several possible scenarios for the next 10 years, with the acceleration of AI and its technological, medical and socio-economic impacts.”

The two videos

Video A — Codex GPT-6.1 Sol

1 min 15 s · 3D animation · French synthetic voice-over · music generated by Codex

A minimalist isometric 3D city at night. Three characters, Maya (she cares for people), Sam (he works) and Lina (she learns), move along a 2026 → 2036 timeline: assistants, agents, augmented healthcare, robots, the cost of transition, divide, hardware limits, turning point, another path. Open ending on three paths: concentration, adaptation, sharing.
Voice-over transcript (French)

Automatic transcript of the French voice-over, not checked word for word.

10 ans. Plusieurs futurs. Maya soigne. Sam travaille. Lina apprend. Tout commence ici. Les assistants arrivent au travail. Sam gagne du temps, mais doit vérifier. Les agents enchaînent les tâches. Les services se connectent. Le rythme accélère. Maya détecte un risque plus tôt. L’intelligence artificielle aide.

Video B — Grok Bot (v9) “The paper plane”

48 s · manga-style animated illustration · no voice · music (piano)

A wordless story. A grandfather and a boy pass a paper plane to each other over the years: at a table, at a hospital bedside, in a field of wind turbines, then at a graduation ceremony in a glass hall, where the grandfather, seated, holds the paper plane. Final black card: “Everything is accelerating. Be ready.”
On-screen text

No voice, no dialogue. Only text: “Everything is accelerating. Be ready.” (final card, 45 to 48 s).

Comparison

FormatIsometric 3D animation, 16:9Manga-style animated illustration, 16:9
Length1 min 15 s48 s
VoiceFrench synthetic voice; not very expressive according to an automated analysis of the videoNone
MusicMusic generated by Codex; electronic according to an automated analysis of the videoPiano (Salamander Grand Piano) and FluidR3_GM sounds
Structure2026 → 2036 timeline, three characters, open endingStory told in successive shots around one object, final card
ToneForward-looking and explanatoryNarrative, wordless
StrengthsConsistent visual identity, clear timelineEmotional story and a strong manga style, wordless and therefore understandable in every language; the impacts are suggested rather than explained: the medical impact through the humanoid robot healing the grandfather, the broader transformations through the wind turbines and the drones
LimitsAccording to an automated analysis of the video: fairly static animation, not very expressive voiceThe approach is subtle and implicit, so less explicit about the 10-year scenarios than Codex’s timeline; the story (“The paper plane”) calls for a symbolic reading

What we take away

  • On the same theme, the two agents chose opposite forms: Codex explains, with a timeline, characters and narration; Grok Bot tells a story, without a word, around a single object.
  • The chosen format (voice or silence, timeline or story) weighs as much as the content in what the video conveys.
  • Since the two requests were not identical, this page shows two interpretations; it is not a benchmark.
